Andreas Thiel has presented solo recitals which have been broadcast on radio as well as television. He played the Canadian premiere of George Rochberg's "Partita-Variations" in Toronto, and has subsequently recorded the work. Thiel is a founding member of the Thames Trio, which performs works written for clarinet, cello and piano. He has appeared as orchestral soloist with orchestras in Canada and the United States, and continues to be in demand as adjudicator for various piano competitions.
